Edges - final workI have chosen these three photographs for my final triptych as I feel they go well together, whilst also reflecting well on the theme edges. The editing has enhanced the edges and has also bought these three photographs together; as shown my the beginning photographs below they didn't originally work well together, however, after editing the photographs they do. In colour the photographs differ a lot, however, in black and white they appear similar.

Evaluation
For this project, I decided on the theme edges as I thought I could take some interesting photographs focusing on a variety of edges, mainly within nature, although I also took some photographs of weathered objects, as I thought the detail and edges were striking.
Within this project I have developed my ideas about edges, as I originally wanted to just focus on edges within nature I began by taking photographs of nature, however as my work developed I also began to experiment with different subject matter - featuring a broader range of objects - along with the composition of the photograph. I ensured I stuck to my theme by solely focusing on edges, and presenting them in different ways through the angles I shot or the editing I did - in particular, I found editing in black and white enhanced the edges, making them more pronounced. Through experimenting I have produced a variety of different photographs, edited in different ways which reflect on the theme edges, although I could edit some of my photographs further.
My original ideas differ to my current as I took a variety of photographs when I first started the project and have directed my ideas to specific aspects of either subject matter or composition as my work has developed. Within my photo plans and annotation of edits I have recorded my ideas about this topic and how they have developed and changed including what areas I decided to focus on.
My overall presentation of the project edges is shown through my edits, in particular my triptychs, as I have picked out the best edits that go together and presented them for each of my photo shoots along with an overall triptych for the entire project. My final triptych features two photographs from my first photo shoot and one photo from my last photo shoot, as I though they went together - some of these photographs don't focus entirely on nature, which is what I had originally based the majority of my work on, which shows how my work has developed and changed, as I have decided on a variety of photographs where the edges are the focus.
Overall, I am satisfied with my final edits and how I have taken a range of photographs, edited in different ways to suit the photograph and to enhance the edges and contrast between them, however I would like to refine some of my edits, improving on them, and perhaps taking a wider range of photographs to present edges in different ways.
